What is an OEM/Tray processor?

An OEM/Tray processor is a genuine, brand-new and unused AMD CPU supplied without AMD retail packaging or retail extras. This helps keep costs down without paying for unnecessary retail packaging. Your processor is securely packed for delivery and comes with a warranty provided by PC Tec UK, rather than directly by AMD.

What is the difference between an OEM/Tray processor and a boxed processor?

An OEM/tray processor delivers the same performance as a boxed processor of the same model. The CPU itself is no different in terms of performance, but the purchase experience differs, including the accessories supplied and the warranty arrangements. A boxed processor may include a stock cooler, depending on the model, whereas our OEM/tray processors do not.

How are processors packaged and delivered?

Each CPU is packed carefully to protect the pins or contact pads in transit. Orders are sent with tracking, usually by Royal Mail Tracked 24, with some higher-value models sent via Special Delivery.

What warranty coverage comes with my processor?

Yes. Every processor sold by PC Tec UK is covered by our 1-year warranty.

What is your returns policy?

Unused and uninstalled processors can be returned within 14 days of purchase. If a processor develops a fault within 1 year from the date of purchase, it is covered by our warranty, with eligible returns handled free of charge.
